Here is a Ted Talk that I found that inspires the necessity for hands on learning throughout life. Gever Tully explains his inspiration behind beginning "Tinkering School", as he believes kids should be exposed to life skills such as perseverance, creativity, analyzation of failure, and trust by experimenting trough tinkering. He points out how parents are normally against this idea, and how this represents the stereotypical school system and how education is idealistically looked upon. Breaking these standards is something I strongly believe in and this Ted Talk inspired my opinions.
